The Construction Manager acts as the single point of accountability for day-to-day activities at the construction site and the primary coordinator with the EPC construction team. The Construction Manager ensures the work on site is executed in accordance with the construction plan.
Pay Range: $60-$77hr
Location: Epes, AL
Duration: May 2025
Schedule: Mon-Fri 50hrs/wk
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Safety Manager to ensure all Enviva and regulatory safe work practices are followed at the construction site.
- Manage all elements of construction information starting with detailed design (constructability review, etc).
- Collaborate with EPC Construction Manager to coordinate all elements of construction process.
- Enviva single point of contact / accountability for all construction matters for both Enviva and EPC contractor.
- Review progress reports, provide Enviva leadership and decision making at construction meetings, proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage and coordinate all Enviva on site personnel.
- Identify and address issues to prevent owner created delays and potential EPC claims.
- Schedule and coordinate all field activities; daily, weekly, monthly.
- Identify innovative opportunities that enhance the quality of, decrease the cost of, and reduce time to complete construction projects.
- Ensure uniform quality and adherence to all approved specifications.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agency-required guidelines.
- Review and approve contracts to ensure all contractual obligations are being fulfilled.
- Track and report work progress and budget matters to Project Manager.
- Select subcontractors and schedule and coordinate their activities.
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other site-related problems.
- Ensure that all site personnel comply with safety, good housekeeping, product quality, and related regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 10 years' experience in managing industrial-scale projects
- Construction management experience, with an emphasis on leadership roles.
- Working knowledge of codes, regulations, and industry standards & practices including OSHA-required health and safety guidelines for construction.
- Ensure that project documentation is completed in a timely manner and distributed as required.
- Ability to direct multi-disciplined teams to accomplish project objectives.
- Ability to evaluate and resolve project economic and scope issues.

- Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn other applications related to the job

- Other dues as needed in order to ensure successful project.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in heat, rain, and cold. Able to work weekends and evenings as required by the project schedule.
- Able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
- Able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to easily navigate on foot an operating construction site daily, including climbing stairs and scaffolding, walking through uneven and rough terrain, and entering confined spaces (as necessary).
- Able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
- Able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA.
- Able to climb multiple flights of steps, angled ramps as needed.
- Able to work on computer screen format for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
- Able to walk construction sites at various stages of completion and weather conditions for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
- High travel - required to be full time on job site deployed as needed.
- Ability to travel for meetings and training as needed
