Customer Service Representative

Location: Ashburn, VA
Employment Type: Contract (6-Month Initial Assignment with potential for extension)

Pay Rate: 21-24/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support daily customer account activities, order management, and sales support functions. This role will work closely with internal teams and assigned territory representatives to ensure excellent customer experience, timely communication, and efficient processing of customer requests.

This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and building strong customer relationships. There is potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders and verify order accuracy within internal systems
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with pricing requests, quote generation, return requests, and issue resolution
  • Conduct follow-up communication regarding quotes, orders, and customer activity
  • Generate and distribute reports as needed to support business operations
  • Partner with assigned sales and account teams to support territory growth and customer retention
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account details, and opportunity updates in company databases
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions
  • Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the department
  • Communicate company strengths and service capabilities to customers effectively
  • Assist with onboarding and training support for new team members when needed
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Perform additional administrative and customer support duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of customer service, sales support, or administrative experience
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office or customer-facing environment preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing multiple systems and databases
  • Prior technical support or inside sales experience is a plus

Education

  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
