The main duties of the Director of Operations will be to Provide leadership to the operations groups across the company to effectively execute all work safely, profitably, and best in class performance.  Provide support and direction to the Territory Managers as they plan, direct, and coordinate the operations, sales and administrative functions for their respective territories. Duties include but are not limited to financial reporting analysis, KPI and metrics tracking, open communication lines between all departments, project profitability analysis, promoting safety awareness and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices, all while fostering a team approach across territories, service lines, and internal company departments. The Director of Operations will be charged with facilitating the strategic vision and growth of the Operations Group, while maintaining Company financial profitability at the Gross Profit and Operating Income level.

Location: La Porte, TX

  • Travel is required up to 40% of the time. 
    1. Travel to La Porte, Big Spring, Corpus Christi, and Baton Rouge locations. 

Pay Range: Open for negotiation 

Duration: Direct Hire Opportunity  

Schedule: Monday- Friday (40 hours per week) 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leading and managing operations team as part of Vapor Point Core Values in all aspects as it relates to employees, clients, vendors and other team members. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance for implementation of the Company Safety Program and hold Territories and Service Lines responsible for 100% compliance and continued growth and education of the Company safety culture.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring Management members and staff members as necessary.

Additional Information:

  • Safety culture exhibits a high percent of involvement and engagement with safety processes and programs which includes key safety topics in meetings, discussion points, branding and incentives.
  • Integration of service lines by cross training, knowledge testing/evaluation and establishment of an application specialist pool that can support all service lines.
  • Establishment and implementation of best practices and procedures across all branches and service lines.
  • Building a cohesive team of managers from Operations Leadership Team down through the ranks that fosters bench strength for future growth

 

Requirements: 

  • 5-10 years of experience in the Environmental/Industrial Services to the Upstream/Downstream Field
  • Managed a business P&L over $5M annually.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Experience presenting to large audiences which includes company and clients.
  • Experience in managing Safety and Human Resource Protocols
