Drafter I
Electrical Drafter and Documentation Technician
Location: Houston TX, 77042
Pay Rate: $39.72 pr hr
Duration: 6 months (may extend)
Responsibilities:
· Draft essential heritage electrical drawings, instrumentation drawings, schematics, plot plans and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software as directed by design supervisor.
· Integrate all heritage discipline documentation using script batch software as per company standards.
· Manage archive drawing files as directed by Document Coordinator.
· Provide support to other team members as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
· Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including PHA, Arc Flash Study packages, electrical specifications, and drawings.
· As built redlines and update Document Management System files and transmittals.
· Coordinate MOC drafting as per asset engineer revisions.

Requirements:
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical design or a related role.
· Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation. 3D AutoCAD preferred.
· knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards.
· Knowledge and application of company engineering design and ISA and company CAD drafting standards.
· AAS Degree or 2+ years of equivalent craft / designer work.
· Piping and structural drafting a plus.
Software/Hardware Qualifications:
Required
o AutoCAD
o Basic computer/PC skills
o Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Plus:
o Microstation V8i
o CADWorx Plant
o Falcon DMS
o MOC Management Software
o SAP
