Job Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Employment: Direct Hire/Long Term


Job Summary:

The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. The role includes overseeing the maintenance of facilities and equipment, ensuring operations are efficient.



Key Responsibilities:


1. Policy and Procedure Management:

- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.

- Create work instructions and safe operating procedures.


2. Inspections and Risk Assessments:

- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

- Perform facility audits to ensure compliance.


3. Emergency Response:

- Coordinate and lead emergency response drills.

- Train staff in safety procedures and crisis management.


4. Facility and Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, including inspections and repairs.

- Manage hazardous substances and waste disposal.


5. Continuous Improvement:

- Lead safety and environmental improvement initiatives.

- Assist with waste minimization programs.


6. Training and Communication:

- Facilitate safety, environmental, and maintenance training sessions.

- Communicate safety policies and procedures company-wide.


7. Incident Investigation and Reporting:

- Investigate accidents/incidents and implement preventive measures.

- Maintain accurate records and ensure OSHA compliance.


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field.

- 5+ years of EHS experience in the manufacturing industry.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA standards.

- Authorized OSHA 500/510 certification.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

-Salary Range of $110k-$130k (Based off Experience)
