PTS Advance is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a year contract to assist with projects at on clients site in Benicia, California. Candidates must be local. No per diem paid. Refinery experience required.
This is a 6-month contract position at our client's refinery in Benicia, CA, with the possibility of extension or direct employment.

- The successful candidate for this position must either be local or willing to relocate independently.
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering is required
- 8 yrs. minimum of directly related experience in the field.
- As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include providing support to the refinery's electrical power distribution system.
- You will assist in the planning and execution of capital and maintenance projects, offering electrical assistance to the Maintenance and Operations departments.
- Develop electrical system reliability programs and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of the refinery's electrical system.
- Provide technical assistance on a daily basis, addressing routine electrical issues and troubleshooting assistance to the Electricians.
- Recommendations for field repairs and interpret electrical data gathered during Preventative Maintenance Work orders.
- Collaborate with the Design Engineering team on electrical design packages. During Electrical System Disturbances, you will assist the Operations and Maintenance Departments. This includes creating and updating electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, motor schematics, panel schedules, and other related drawings as needed.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting Management of Change (MOC) documentation related to electrical systems and projects.
- Champion the change process through to the Pre-Startup Safety Review, Startup of the change, and Closeout of the MOC.

Must pass a background check and drug test
Posses a current TWIC card
Current training or the ability to attain required training needed for refinery compliance.
