Electrical Superintendent

Required Qualifications:
  • Electrical Superintendent experience.
  • Not seeking candidates with heavy residential construction experience.
  • Experience driving QA/QC punch lists for electrical work.
  • Experience managing subcontractors in the field.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data centers or industrial construction is a plus.
  • Construction Management or Engineering degree.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Pre-employment requirements: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search.
Job Details:
  • Project Type: Contract role, lasting 3 months.
  • Work Schedule: 6 days/week, 10-hour shifts.
  • Per Diem: $130/day, 7 days/week.
Responsibilities:
  • Interface with and monitor direct hire and subcontractor supervision, ensuring project requirements are met in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and performance.
  • Provide technical direction and support to craft supervisors for safe and quality project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
  • Manage subcontractors, addressing issues related to drawings, schedules, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and monitor the 3-Week Look-Ahead Schedule, ensuring materials and resources are available.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with scope and schedule, and develop stable working relationships.
  • Conduct daily site logs, timesheet reviews, and foreman meetings to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Administer work packages and maintain project records, including answering Contractor Information Requests (CIRs).
Union Projects (If Applicable):
  • Understand and manage local union agreements, ensuring smooth workflow at union interface points.
  • Establish working relationships with Local Union BAs and Site Job Stewards.
Skills:
  • Proficient in budget and cost control, with experience in data center construction preferred.
  • Strong conflict management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of union agreements, safety, and construction standards across various disciplines.
  • Capable of mentoring and training other superintendents and recommending development needs.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments (confined spaces, heights, extreme temperatures).
  • Full range of motion and physical endurance for 12-hour shifts.
Work Environment:
  • Construction site environment with exposure to hazardous equipment, inclement weather, and varying noise levels.
  • Occasional work in typical office environments.
  • Safety-sensitive position.
Certifications:
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
