Entry Level - Turnaround Cost Analyst 
 Location: Norco, LA

Software:  Intermediate/Advanced level MS Excel & MS Word

 Overview: 
The Entry Level Cost Analyst will perform tasks associated with reviewing and analyzing business finances from overall budgets, turnarounds, projects, or maintenance according to client's project schedules and plans.  

The Entry Level Cost Analyst will be trained to:

  • Work under the direction of the Lead Cost Analyst to manage the budget and expenses for the duration of the project or turnaround.
  • Reconcile actual man hours versus head count.
  • Collect and track headcount.
  • Validate and report actual hours per the code of accounts.
  • Review SAP charges and perform invoice audits.
  • Provide general administrative cost support.
  • Interact with refinery and contractor personnel in order to track information and resolve                       conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
  • Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices.
  • Report estimated equipment rental costs based on contractual rental rates.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Understands and utilize standard auditing requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Intermediate/Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Willing to be a team-player and complete ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Ability to work independently after assigned and trained on tasks
