Field Service Engineer III

We are seeking several qualified candidates for Field Service Engineer III
Location: Hillsboro, OR
If you like to troubleshoot hardware, solve complex problems, and make equipment work better, this is the role for you. As a Field Service Engineer, you will work in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and customer sites around the globe.
Senior-level Field Service Engineers work independently, and help train junior colleagues, to create and support the technology that the world relies on to manufacture semiconductor chips and related materials. You will work beside global customers to install, maintain and upgrade their manufacturing equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems.
Responsibilities
- Performs all standard service activities through Tier I and Tier II unassisted. Has established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities
- Able to perform routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes. Completes quality repairs.
- Responds to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls. May participate in projects to reduce costs and increase uptime.
- Verifies operational quality of system equipment. Assists senior engineers as needed.
- Applies diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Uses training and experience to identify process, software or hardware related system problems.
- Perform BKM's. Uses knowledge management systems. Follows all IP guidelines.
- Assumes responsibility for complete customer satisfaction within work area. Assists in planning, communicating, and coordinating support plans with customer management.
- Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
- Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others in the discipline
- Assumes responsibility for full customer satisfaction assuring excellent relations within assigned area
- Has the ability to manage own workload.
- Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
- Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided; follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance
- Uses communication skills to exchange information
Qualifications:
* Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
* 2-4 year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
* Excellent customer interface skills is required
* Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools
* Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required

Physical Requirements: Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
Occasional overnight travel to client factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
Pay Rate: $35-$50
