Framing Materials Manager
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive and improve the production of panelization and framing installation to shorten durations and improve quality.
- Coordinate and monitor all production and construction related activities related to framing with the vendor panel plant, vendor field framing personnel.
- Coordinate and communicate with Construction Management Team to help the overall success of this project.
- Guide field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, with quality workmanship that conforms to the plans and specifications.
- Monitor framing production schedule and supervise quality through final completion.
- Identify potential framing issues and solve problems or provide realistic solutions for issues or problem(s) in order to maintain construction schedule.
- Inspect or direct the inspection of all contracted framing work to ensure compliance with contract agreements and all applicable local jurisdictions.
- Maintain positive relationships with all Trumark Personnel, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors and all applicable municipal representatives.
- Track and confirm all changes in take-offs and wall construction are completed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit reports to document trade and subcontractor manpower, progress and conditions impacting the project, as well as material readiness and correctness.
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Oversee all aspects of wood framing for quality and accuracy per plans, including but not limited to the following.
- Layout accuracy
- Wall framing
- Sheathing install
- Hardware install
- Truss and joist install
- Hold down location accuracy and install
- Shear specifications
- Rough opening accuracy
- Overall framing accuracy
- Material management - accuracy and corrections
- Ensure that framing is being erected correctly, and efficiently.
- Provide training and education in framing to the entire field personnel as needed to ensure a successful project.
- Maintain an organized job site and site construction office.
- Foster a positive work environment to provide for the professional growth and development of employees.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Pre-Requisites
- 5+ years' experience as a Framing Superintendent for single/multifamily, ground up residential development projects required.
- Experience with lumber and wood frame construction.
- Strong ability to problem solve and lead a team.
Salary: 80-95k+ (give or take)
