Fueling Mechanical Designer

We are looking for a Fueling Mechanical Designer who will contribute to various stages of planning, site evaluations, analytical design, report preparation, specifications, and the creation of proposal and construction documentation and mechanical plans within a project team. This role will involve working on multiple projects with a wide range of clients and project types.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks using established methods and techniques, such as creating drawing sequences and presentations, incorporating system components, and refining initial sketches, while adhering to company, client, and project design standards.
  • Develop complete PFDs and P&IDs from verbal or written descriptions provided by the design engineer.
  • Apply basic formulas, principles, and practices to execute mechanical design tasks, drawing on knowledge of fundamental concepts.
  • Plan and generate production drawings, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations for complex and varied assignments.
  • Execute mechanical design tasks such as sizing system components, refining rough sketches, and making design changes or updates on ongoing projects.
  • Review and analyze reports, drawings, and tests to guide project planning and design.
  • Integrate relevant design codes and specifications into design work.
  • Ensure design drawings meet quality standards, staying within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
  • Complete tasks within allocated hours and deadlines, ensuring accurate calculations for layouts, equipment, and diagrams.
  • Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and related information in a clear, structured manner.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, particularly in client coordination.
  • Carry out additional duties as required and comply with company policies and standards.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience, or 9 years of progressive experience in detailing and design.
  • High-level proficiency in design software such as Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD (2D/3D), and Excel, with a willingness and ability to learn new software tools.
  • Strong expertise in using both 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design systems, calculations, and methodologies.
  • A solid grasp of the theories and practices in your assigned discipline, with a strong understanding of related disciplines, and the ability to use the necessary design software for production tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, including with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers, to resolve issues and meet project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
