Human Resources Generalist - Charleston

My client is looking to add an accomplished Human Resources Generalist to their growing team in the Charleston area. They are a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced drug delivery systems, as well as a collaborative partner to biotech and pharma companies worldwide. Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training/development
  • Provide assistance to management and employees when complex, specialized, and confidential questions and issues arise
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance in accordance with employment laws
  • Monitor performance management procedures to assure fair and equitable treatment for all employees
  • Establish, maintain, enroll employees in Company Benefits 
  • Assists with Visas for immigration
  • Enter new hires and temps into payroll system
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation
  • Creates, maintains, and updates employee records including personnel and confidential files.
  • Responds to claims for Unemployment Compensation
  • Coordinating all paid and unpaid leave of absences for all team members at facility; to include FMLA, non-FMLA, Workers Compensation, and PTO
  • Coordinating on-site Workers Compensation issues following a work-related injury 
  • Conducts exit interviews for departing team members
  • Works under minimal supervision and reports to a US HR lead
  • Ability to assist with talent acquisition as needed
  • Performs other related duties, as required

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or equivalent experience required
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR or related area
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Paycor and PeopleSoft preferred.
