THIS IS A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION:

MAX BILL RATE ALLOWED: $135/HR

Description:

The Sr. I/E Project - Control Engineering will be responsible for designing and installing process control systems and related projects.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical support for process control, instrumentation, and measurement technologies for projects.
  • Engineering & design expertise for control system upgrades, Burner Management System upgrades, and shutdown system upgrades.
  • Providing guidance and support for process control project scope and estimates.
  • Participating in operational training as related to these systems.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience on implementation of process control systems and I&E related functions for plant and pipeline facilities is required.
  • Expert knowledge of industry standards (NFPA-70E, NFPA-87, API-500, ISA & IEC) is required.
  • Understanding of basics and complex regulatory control & safety systems is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design including relay logic.
  • Expert knowledge of industry recognized safety system, burner management equipment, and implementation is required.
  • Proficient in Engineering and Design of PLC Based Control systems.
  • Proficient in Motor Control Schematic wiring and functionality.
  • Proficient in generating Cable conduit schedule, cable tray & conduit routing design.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Honeywell C300 systems, Triconex CX, and Allen Bradley PLC's is highly preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and with others in the organization.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization (operations and contractors), both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have the ability to perform light work, able to lift minimum of 20 pounds occasionally, be able to climb a ladder, and be able to reach overhead, stoop, bend and twist while working.
  • Primary Work Location: Houston, Texas – Corporate Office.
  • Travel: up to 25% - any Enterprise location.
  • TWIC Card is required - either already hold one or submit for one asap.
  • Engineering degree preferred.


Must be able to fulfill at atleast 75% of below project tasks: 

  1. P&ID redlines for Control scope.
  2. Mark up/Create instrument Location Plans.
  3. Create/Update Electrical Area classification drawing.
  4. Create/Update facility Key plan.
  5. Generate Instrument data-sheets.
  6. Update instrument installation details.
  7. Create Cable conduit schedule.
  8. Design cable tray and conduit system and routing.
  9. Develop construction scope document.
  10. Develop construction plan.
  11. Support Loop checks and startup.
  12. Maintain As Built documents and project sign-off.
  13. Create and maintain instrument Index.
  14. Verify Loop drawings.
