Instrumentation & Controls Systems Engineer

Field Control and Instrumentation Engineer - Construction
Responsibilities:
* Review and scrutinize proposed Change Orders; support 'no change' practices
* Liaise with Site, OEMs and Suppliers to assure Project technical requirements are met
* Responsible to provide technical support for construction as needed; respond to RFIs and review deliverables submittals in a timely manner
* Provides technical interface management between construction/operations and all engineered equipment vendors
* Responsible for maintaining required red lines in the field (Instrument Location Plans, Loop Drawings, Instrument Datasheets, Network Diagrams etc.)
* Ensure availability of engineering input documents required for dynamic and static commissioning (instrument calibration certificates, loop drawings, alarm lists, datasheets, etc.)
* Responsible for SmartPlant Instrumentation Database updates.
* Coordinate with preservation team to ensure proper storage and handling of instrument and control system equipment
* Work with turnover group to review loop folder packages.
* Review construction material true ups against engineering BoMs and IFC engineering schedules
* Responsible for ensuring the required field changes are MOC'd properly
* Assist QA in developing, implementing and managing Quality and Integrity processes
* Assist subcontracts - writing/validating field directives and change order requests
* Responsible to support Construction, Completions and Performance Test procedures
* Responsible to provide technical input to the Turnover and Completion Teams
* Participate in engineering meetings, construction meetings and constructability reviews.
Competencies
* Experience with specification and installation of Measurement Instrumentation, Valves, Online Analyzers, Motor Controls, DCS, SIS
* Adequate proficiency with SmartPlant Instrumentation
