Senior Instrument & Control Systems Engineer

You will utilize your working knowledge and experience to perform engineering analysis, size, specify, select and evaluate various types of instrumentation. You must have knowledge of the applicable codes and industry standards.

Work Performed:

• Performs sizing/calculation for flow elements, thermowells, control valves, and relief valves.
• Performs selection, specification, material requisitions and technical bid evaluation, vendor drawing review of valves, field instruments, and analyzer systems and their transmission systems.
• Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) software
• Provides support for P&ID Development for instrumentation and controls.
• Participate in activities related to safety and risk assessment related to instrumentation (HazOp/LOPA)
• Knowledge of Package Systems function and interface to control system.
•  Knowledge and experience in the design principles of distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), SIL validation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and logic development is a plus.
• Coordinates schedule and progress with the project management. Interfaces with various disciplines and Clients.
• Factory Acceptance Test Participation
• Engineering field support activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Electrical, Chemical, or related field

10+ years experience in petrochemicals or related industries.
