Role Description:
Position coordinates and facilitates instrumentation resources according to client's maintenance schedules and execution plans. Positions also develops work packages and work instructions to support maintenance work activities including pre-planning, material staging, requisitioning/expediting, labor estimating, and other field support.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop work packages including complete plans, work scopes, drawings, material specifications, etc. including stand-alone assignments or assistance with major projects and work scopes under other coordinator's control
Develop work instructions for installation, repairs, troubleshooting, modification, calibration of instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, remote terminal units, supervisory control data acquisition (SCADA) systems and software controlled units and equipment
Coordinate timely development and release of work packages, task requests, and work orders to support the maintenance schedule
Coordinate the planning and tracking of applicable MOC's from initiation to completion
Develop minor design drawings and sketches as required to provide engineering details to work packages
Develop drawings and sketches as assigned to provide as-built details on completed work
Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor to meet the need for budget estimate
Conduct information gathering and status review sessions in conjunction with the development and implementation of work assignments
Communicate with offsite vendors, as well as with user groups in the plant site to develop and implement work assignments
Assist with preparing daily work schedules and present at maintenance meetings
Prepare daily and/or monthly status reports showing the status and progress of work assignments
Prepare reports to record the progress of specific assignments, as required, and records the progress made at meetings called to communicate or develop work assignments
Become familiar with the plant design specifications, drawings and files in order to produce acceptable work packages with sufficient detail to verify accurate safe and practical results Support other individuals and user groups by providing information on plant equipment specifications and drawings
Becoming familiar with the plant standards, mechanical integrity, preventative maintenance, and inspection requirements
Verify quality control and inspection procedures are followed when work is planned
Verify new and repair specifications and plans include the appropriate quality control procedures and information to verify work done and results achieved comply with codes and the Quality Control Program
Coordinate resources in accordance with the job plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, safety requirement, quality requirements, various procedures, standards, practices, etc.
Minimum of 10 years working as a instrument technician and 5 years of planning and/or coordinating instrumentation resources in maintenance or on projects or turnaround in petrochemical facilities (preferred)
