Our client, a major refinery, is currently looking for a Lead Cost Control in Wilmington, CA.

Role Description:
Track and monitor all cost activities for TAR.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities
  • Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
  • Become familiar with and comply with Client's cost control procedures and practices
  • Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
  • Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
  • Track headcount
  • Prepare and issue routine reports
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities

 
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
  • Safety Champion - portrays a personal example of excellent safety, performance, mindset, and commitment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with TAR cost data
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Understand and utilize standard auditing requirements
  • Intermediate/advanced level in SAP, MS Excel, MS Word
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills

Hourly wage: $60-$115 (depending on experience)
