Maintenance Technician - Glendale, CA
Schedule: M-F 6am to 2:30pm (occasionally may be asked to work 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, power tools, production machines, building/facility, as well as preventative maintenance and emergency response
- Order parts and maintain parts availability
- Able to read drawings, prints and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform Preventive Maintenance duties on facility equipment
- Make repairs, replacements, adjustments, inspections, troubleshoot, and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to 480 Volts
- Working with PLC's and HMI, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment is highly desired
- Operates all types of conventional power tools
- Installs new equipment
- Respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner
- Repairs electrical equipment, run conduit
- Layout jobs in compliance with NEC and completes bill of material
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years electrical related experience in a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of PLC's, electrical systems to 480 volts, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment
- Electrical and minor mechanical skills to perform the needed repairs and installations
- Good understanding of the NEC with respect to Industrial Applications and knowledge of how to apply to keep the facility within code requirements
- Working knowledge of various control systems on equipment and HVAC Systems
- Candidate must be able and willing to work in either 1st or 2nd shift
Pay rate: $30 to $34/hr. (plus $2.00 shift differential)
