Mechanical Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate resources in accordance with project safety requirements, plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and quality requirements, various procedures, standards, practices, etc.
Provide general coordination and facilitation as well as monitor the progress of project activities
Interface with other project support resources as required by job plans
Coordinate execution during the various phases of the project or turnaround
Visit jobsite of jobs scheduled for upcoming shift to perform a safety/hazard review and recommend action to resolve any findings
Submit daily shift reports and 3-shift look-ahead to scheduler and/or Client representative as necessary
Update shift log with progress and other relevant data for relief shifts
Communicate permit needs to Operation Representative at start of shiftConfirm material, as required by job plans, are available on job site
Analyze and recommend resolutions of work problems or assist workers in solving work problems or barriers
Walk down Mechanical Construction Job Packages and verify job readiness with prints/drawings
Red-line drawings with updates and submit to Client for approval
Perform pre-start up safety review
Create punchlists from pre-start up safety reviews
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Minimum of 5 years working in a coordinator position in the petrochemical industry (preferred)
Extensive knowledge of various mechanical skills and associated equipment (pipe fitting, welding, boiler making, crane & rigging, X-ray techniques and interpretation)
