Our client provides procurement, construction, maintenance and repair services to the North American energy and industrial markets. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Field Engineer in Bakersfield, CA.

Contract position on a 6x10's schedule (day shift). Per diem is available.

This person will be responsible for:

• Provide technical support to ensure compliance with schedule, standards and specifications.
• Interprets and resolves technical issues.
• Assists in preparation of field design changes, as-builts/red lines, RFIs.
• Prepares field material requisitions and procures construction material with assistance of procurement team.
• Interfaces with Scheduler and Planner to ensure schedule and productivity goals are met.
• Assembles reports as required

Required Experience 

• Minimum 5 years in Industrial Mechanical Construction or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to work within all Microsoft Office Applications.
• Adobe Pro or Bluebeam experience is required.
• Experienced with P&IDs.
• Great organization and communication skills.

Compensation: $50-$65/hour depending on experience.
