Outside Sales / Account Manager (West Coast)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Our client is seeking an Account Manager responsible for executing the global short-term and long-term commercial strategy and technical activities for aerospace distribution customers. The role is responsible for understanding, developing executing strategic plans for distribution sales, encouraging timely resolution of product application issues, and to coordinate distribution strategy under the guidance of Sales Director, our customers and our industry. The Account Manager will support development of the global aerospace strategic plan, growth initiatives, the interface between Sales/Marketing, customer representatives and management, and will resolve issues related to orders, delivery, product applications, and other commercial and technical issues. Account Manager will be based in California with travel to surrounding states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and control the existing strategy with customers.
- Identify new opportunities with existing and new customers. Build business cases to transform these opportunities into new business.
- Provide information for sales forecasts, including customer usage data, potential for forward requirements, changes in demand or product exclusion.
- Assists the Director of Sales in budget preparation, identification of strategic customers and personally tracks the monthly performance of Focus accounts.
- Liaise with Simi Valley Inside Sales Group in order to insure a strong global relationship with customers.
- Generate quotes to support distribution customer proposal packages.
- Support execution of global distribution strategy within Simi Valley, in coordination with other commercial staff members and various resources and marketing.
- Work closely with Customers & Marketing to provide support and manage projects for distribution customers, and compile and submit accurate sales reports/forecasts in a timely manner.
- Analyze and evaluates customers' engineering opportunities and challenges, personally assisting customers' engineering personnel in solving problems.
- Propose new services to customers, allowing the company to differentiate itself from competition.
- Liaise with various company locations globally and external suppliers to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate the resolution of customer issues, including quality and on-time delivery performance

- Review and manage contract requirements to ensure they are within limits of established policies and procedures, including commercial and intellectual property (patent, trademark, licensing) requirements.
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations as needed. Coordinate commercial, technical and market details for product and marketing literature and trade show displays and communications, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 5 Years related experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
