Permitting Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Support non-environmental permitting projects, including tasks such as:
    • Communicating with permitting authorities and internal/external team members to determine permitting requirements.
    • Tracking specific requirements of each jurisdiction and providing this information to the team.
    • Preparing and submitting permit packages in compliance with jurisdictional guidelines.
    • Monitoring permit submittal, approval, and expiration dates.
    • Relaying permit conditions to the project team to ensure comprehensive communication with permitting agencies.
    • Creating and distributing relevant project correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Managing multiple permits and projects simultaneously.
    • Developing and maintaining accurate and complete project files, continuously ensuring their integrity and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement).
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new tracking and software programs such as ArcGIS, Unifier, and Procor.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to excel in a dynamic problem-solving environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with electric utility and fiber communication terminology, non-environmental permitting processes, and Department of Transportation permitting platforms such as EPS is a plus.
