- Support daily plant operations, production, and maintenance activities.
- Develop, plan, and execute capital projects in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance personnel; maintain a 3+ year capital plan.
- Utilize Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies to measure, correct, and control process variation.
- Assist maintenance functions to enhance equipment reliability and implement improvements.
- Maintain and manage the maintenance budget, providing monthly and quarterly financial reports and preparing the annual budget.
- Approve requisitions, obtain quotes, approve invoices, and address budget variances.
- Provide and coordinate necessary training for personnel, focusing on reliability and equipment safety.
- Lead or assist in completing root cause problem elimination (RCPE) reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment and system drawings, plant insurance, fire protection systems, contractor insurance requirements, and Management of Change processes.
- Plan and execute internal and external tank inspections and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to update BOMs and equipment changes.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, effective communication, and collaboration among plant personnel.
- Some travel required (<10%).
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented, servant-leader mindset.
- Proficiency in data collection, statistical analysis, and process improvement techniques (Six Sigma certification preferred).
- Exceptional computer skills, including CAD software.
- Expertise in PLC programming, HMI controls, and process/machine control programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred).
- Solid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics.
- Ability to obtain Six Sigma certification if not already certified.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated heights, dust, fumes, chemicals, hot environments, electrical equipment, and loud noise.
- Adherence to prescribed safety rules and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
