Project Manager 
The Project Manager/ Project Engineer will be responsible to implement a competitive, successful industrial strategy dedicated to Hydrogen Mobility and to provide an efficient support to IDD's offer growth. For that purpose, teams must deliver its products on time, on budget and compliant with local codes and standards.
 
Job Title: Project Manager / Project Engineer
 
Pay Rate: $55.00- $60.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
 
 Duration: 3-month contract (Possibility to convert to permanent) 
Work Schedule: Mon- Friday; 8 am to 5 pm (CST) 
Location: 9811 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77024
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Perform Management of change (MOC) audits. 
  • Responsible to roll out a collaborative network between the various geographies, ensure new technological bricks developed by aB&T, R&D, or partners are delivered in a short time to market and are effectively industrialized. Lastly, New Energies shall provide
     strong support to operations and business teams in the development of competitive proposals.
  • Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness and demonstrate continuous improvement in safety practices. Maintain a culture of zero accidents and injuries in all work performed. Maintain safety as the first priority.
  • Manage the relationship with the customers, work and contribute to the customers satisfaction.
  • Manage compliance with contractual requirements and specifications on projects
  • Take full responsibility for the safety, budget and schedule of assigned projects. Manage projects toward on-time and on-budget based KPIs.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders
  • Manage and properly document Change Orders.
  • Manage and maintain the project risk register.
  • Coordinate effectively with project interfaces (Safety, Product, Estimating, Proposal,
     Commissioning, Procurement, Risk, Inspection, Logistic, Supply Chain, Expediting)
  • Responsible for project quality control/ quality assurance and or supervision.
  • Responsible for executing and delivering projects as per AL Project process.
  • Directly manage suppliers for project expediting and progress purposes.
  • Leverage continuous improvement tools to decrease the cost of manufacturing standard
     products through either design improvement or supplier management.
  • Capitalize the lessons learned from project execution and suggest product improvements
  • Participate in risk reviews of newly developed products and projects.
  • Assist with equipment startup troubleshooting as required.
  • Develop technical specifications for all equipment and components related to hydrogen refueling stations. This includes (but is not limited to) compressors, high pressure gaseous storage, valves and electrical cabinets.
  • Develop all technical documentation related to a project, including PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment specifications, layout drawings, piping specifications, installation manual, maintenance manual, etc.
  • Manage technical experts in applicable disciplines to approve all technical specifications and documentation.
  • Coordinate and perform in process inspections of equipment to ensure vendors are maintaining quality and technical specifications during projects.
  • Perform factory acceptance testing and ensure all equipment and components are built to specifications and operate as desired. This includes preparation of inspection documents (FAT procedures).
  • Create and update the standard documentation related to the product design and performances, including user manuals.
  • Perform process calculations for all hydrogen refueling stations, existing technology and new developments, including PSV calculations, cooling power, vent sizing, etc.
  • Manage all project documentation, internal and external, from submittals and reviews through as-built drawings.
  • Work with both internal and external engineering disciplines to assure timeliness and quality of project deliverables.
  • Develop the skills to manage detailed engineering deliverables by assuming the overall technical responsibility to ensure that all assigned projects are executed per company specifications and procedures, per project requirements and per AL Group expectations including electrical, structural and mechanical.
  • Support field personnel during construction and startup (remotely or in person at the job site).
  • Address scope clarifications and provide technical support during the design phase for the assigned engineering disciplines.
  • Provide feedback to the Product Engineering team for product improvement and including improving the manufacturability of the product.
     
     Requirements: 
  • BS in Engineering discipline
  • 3 or more years of relevant project / product engineering and/ or project management
     experience.
  • Experience in Hydrogen or Flammable Gases (Preferred) 
  • Experience in Engineering of Skidded Solutions (Highly Preferred) 
  • Strong track record of delivering equipment to projects with an on time and on budget focus on metrics
  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative and problem-solving on complex projects in all phases of the project
  • Familiarity with ISA symbiology for P&IDs
  • Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation and compressors.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, data collection, key performance indicators
  • Strong culture around safety, cost control, schedule and project management process.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the project team and management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English language, verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD to draft documents such P&IDs or layout drawings.
     
     Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a multicultural engineering environment
  • Motivate other team members through leading by example.
  • Able to influence others to gain consensus and action.
  • Experience with Hydrogen molecule and projects
     
     Additional Information:
  • Up to 30% travel required.
  • Houston Center office is the home location.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Able and willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when at job sites, vendor sites or in industrial environments.
