QUALITY ASSURANCE /CONTROL SITE COORDINATOR
This position is located in Delta, UT and per diem will be provided to those 50+miles away from site.

The QA/QC Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Superintendent and Project Manager in all
aspects of Quality within the field. Must work closely with engineering, purchasing and other
construction members of the project team including external suppliers of products and services where
applicable. This position may require travel outside of the site to vendor locations for inspections.

Structure:
The QA / QC Site Coordinator reports directly to the Manager, Construction with day-to-day direction
provided by Superintendent on their specific project.

Position Overview:
• Accountable for the quality of every activity, with solid working knowledge of all aspects of
construction relating to Civil, Architectural, Structural/Welding, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical and
Controls disciplines.
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including Certificates of
Conformance/Compliance, calibration(s), test results, inspection requests, non-compliance
reports and site instruction/observations, Material Test Reports (MTR) for permanent materials
delivered, and any other important QA/QC documents as dictated by the project.
• Determine all relevant standards and procedures for the performance of inspections and tests
and develop procedures when necessary. Manage all testing using industry best practices.
• Review the quality of all materials to ensure compliance with all project specifications and
quality standards. Collaborate with the Project Management team for all material procurement.
• Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence
to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
• Assist employees in ensuring knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all
quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the
quality of all systems.
• Monitor and audit storage and preservation of project materials onsite. Collaborate with the
material coordinator on preventative maintenance and create a PM schedule.
• Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze all processes to ensure all
work meets quality requirements.
• Surveillance of all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor
continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions
where necessary for all operations.
• Assist in the development of Installation Work packages for activities, including Quality specific
risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, and Inspection.
• Assist in creating Inspection & Test Plan Checklist(s) based on project specifications.
• Coordinate and Collaborate with the Technical Lead for the control and distribution of all Site
generated documents, checklists, and inspection documents.
• Regular review of work in the field to the drawings, including the monitoring of any red line
drawings, site instructions or field directives.
• Coordinate with the Clients representative's, Authorities having jurisdiction, third party
inspectors, and Site management team for all inspection requirements.
• Participate in Toolbox talks, support the site team in communicating any focus items for Quality.
Communicate any NCR's and their corrective actions to the team.
• Collaboration with the Site team on the development, management and close out of punch lists.
• Turnover of work areas to other Sub-contractors or the Client for the progression of work using
the TCCC system (Transfer of Care Custody and Control).
• Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices and always perform work in a safe
manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A Diploma or technical certificate. Post-secondary qualification in Engineering preferred
• Excellent at reading project drawings, specifications, and codes
• Must have minimum of 5-10 years prior experience working on industrial projects within the
field.
• A self-starter with experience working in a team environment
• Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Procore an asset
• Current or previous certification for Visual Inspection of Weldments is preferred but not
required (ASNT SNT-TC-1A-VT Level II, CWI, CSA W178.2 Level 1 or 2)
• Preferred CWI or W178.2 Level 2.
