Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Nashville, TN (Remote considered for qualified candidates)

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in cash accounting to support our team during a critical period of transition. As we undergo a shared services transformation, cash operations have proven to be a key challenge. The ideal candidate will step into a hands-on role, taking ownership of complex, high-volume cash accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for our offshore support team.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in cash accounting to support our team during a critical period of transition. As we undergo a shared services transformation, cash operations have proven to be a key challenge. The ideal candidate will step into a hands-on role, taking ownership of complex, high-volume cash accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for our offshore support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of approximately 60 high-volume cash accounts
- Clear unapplied cash daily for assigned accounts and ensure accurate application
- Analyze unapplied cash outside of AP/AR subledgers and determine appropriate allocation based on historical data and transactional review
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve and document unapplied AP items
- Perform timely and accurate cash reconciliations using Blackline and Excel
- Reconcile bank activity with SAP S/4HANA data, including clearing ledgers
- Identify and document any unapplied or unmatched cash items before month-end close to support accrual decisions
- Park accruals for material cash items when necessary
- Act as a cash subject matter expert and support the offshore team with training and ongoing guidance
- Recognize patterns in cash activity to improve accuracy and efficiency across the process
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting with a strong emphasis on cash reconciliation, treasury, or banking
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Blackline, and Excel
- Familiarity with clearing accounts and multi-layered GL structures
- Previous experience working in a shared services or offshore support model
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
