We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering cutting-edge energy infrastructure solutions. From carbon capture initiatives to next-generation power plants, our work is at the forefront of the energy transition.

About the Role:
In this position, you'll be responsible for developing detailed designs and 3D models of piping systems and mechanical components for energy generation and environmental facilities. Your contributions will support large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, including the design of steam cycles, hydraulic and fuel systems, condensate and boiler feed layouts, conveying systems, rotating equipment, and more.

Why Join Us?
Our Power team combines best-in-class technical capabilities with deep EPC experience, making us a leader in complex infrastructure delivery. As an employee-owner, you'll be part of a collaborative culture where innovation and commitment to quality drive everything we do. Ranked among the top in power delivery and design by ENR, we provide the resources and support to take your career to the next level.

What You'll Do:

  • Create 2D and 3D layouts and mechanical system designs using programs such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D, or Revit.

  • Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), plans, sections, and detailed equipment drawings.

  • Model mechanical systems and equipment within power plants and industrial environments.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Conduct interference checks and contribute to constructability reviews.

  • Support the preparation of construction documentation packages and participate in design reviews.

  • Assist in mentoring junior designers and interns.

  • Contribute to schedule adherence and ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical/piping design experience in a 3D environment; power industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Associate's degree or higher in Drafting, Design Technology, or Engineering is preferred (HS diploma or GED required).

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, MicroStation, etc.) and familiarity with P&ID development and plot plans.

  • Ability to independently execute mechanical design tasks with limited oversight.

  • Effective communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving project scopes and deliverables.
