They are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join their growing team in Long Beach, CA.

Responsibilities: 

• Models process unit operations in Hysys simulation software
• Develops PFDs and HMBs
• Performs hydraulic calculations for piping systems and piping networks
• Develops P&IDs
• Sizes process equipment/instruments and provides process data sheets to other disciplines for evaluation and/or specification of equipment/instruments 
• Prepares specifications and operating instructions for process equipment/systems
• Evaluates flare and relief systems, including PSV sizing following applicable client standards, API 520 Part I/II, and API 521
• Communicates with vendors on sizing, operation, and performance of equipment, including obtaining quotes for new equipment as required
• Participates in HAZOP reviews
• Participates in and contributes to development of all phases of project engineering, including FEED, detailed design, and construction support
• Maintains effective communication with multidiscipline project team members and the client

Experience: 

• Preferably 5-10 years' experience working in the oil and gas upstream, midstream, and downstream market
• Heavy Industrial (various) experience preferred

Skills & Qualifications: 

• BS Degree required
• Adept user of AutoCAD 2D, AspenTech Suite, AFT Fathom, and AFT Arrow. Knowledge of AFT Impulse is a plus
• Must have a strong technical knowledge and understanding of Process Simulation, Heat and Material Balance, Hydraulic Analysis, and Equipment/Instrumentation Sizing/Rating
