Smart3D (S3D) Administrator
The SmartPlant 3D (S3D) Administrator is responsible for project set up, maintenance and support of the system. The SP3D administrator will maintain all areas of the 3D model environment for stability and maintenance. The Administrator shall ensure the modelling environment works appropriately in regard to the generation, control and distribution of 3D model interfaces.
Primary Job Duties/Functions:
- Collect and implement project requirements of hierarchy, naming rules, document numbering format, border file, volume naming definitions, project specific pick lists, common filters, catalog components, and surface style rules.
- Coordinate Citrix server and database requirements for all 3D systems including coordination with satellite offices.
- Create projects in all 3D systems. Load code lists, add standard reports and templates, upload/bulk-load catalog and reference files, develop/modify drawing templates, load project volumes, setup SPR batch processes, create project specific symbols
- Develop and issue the project 3D Execution Plan
- Create and manage drawing viewstyles and templates with input from engineering discipline staff.
- Create department standard and project specific reports and reporting methods as needed.
- Complex reporting including SQL and VB. Integrate reports into Company project tools.
- Implement Rulechecker Service in SP3D including C# customization
- Create and load SP3D naming rules including customization in VB.
- Implement a Model Data Reuse strategy to enable duplication of design when needed.
- Administer and manage clash application(s):- - Customize automated allocation - Automated acceptances - Clash conditions and tolerances
- Creation and maintenance of 3D pipe support and hangers in VB6 and .Net.
- Schedule and monitor routine backups/archives.
- Coordinate scope, overall schedule, deliverables, milestones and coordination procedures.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience supporting Intergraph products including PDS and SmartPlant 3D (S3D)
- Effective oral and written communication skills required
- Knowledge of SP3D metadata browser, writing SQL Queries, custom commands and Visual basic .Net
- Experience with PDS, SmartPlant Foundation and or other SmartPlant tools are not required but will be a plus
- Background in Piping Design is preferred, including an understanding of 3D piping modeling work processes and isometric generation.
- Experience utilizing LFM laser scan data and utilizing other 3D systems will be a plus.
- Experience in Oil and Gas/Chemical/Petrochemical
