PTS Advance is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner to work for a year contract on site for our Refinery client in Benicia, Ca.
Preferred candidate to have a Bachelor's or higher level degree in a related field preferred. Drafting experience is highly preferred and would like the candidate to have supervisory experience. Local Candidates - No per diem paid.
       
Must be able to regularly work on a full time basis at the assigned location and arrive to work at scheduled start time.
Must be able to work in a collaborative, on-site work environment, which will include participation in unscheduled discussions and troubleshooting on an as needed basis.

Start Date: immediately
Length on contract - 1 year
Hours: 40 hrs.(possible overtime)
TWIC Card Required
20 hours of RSO required

Job Responsibilities:
*Provides job plans for daily maintenance activities, prepares job packages for expense projects and provides planning assistance for emergency shutdowns.
*Receives and reviews work requests that have been authorized by the users of Maintenance services.
*Prepares a work scope and establishes the labor, tools, material, and equipment required for work requests.
*Estimates, plans, and requisitions manpower, materials, and equipment for approved work requests.
*Prepares/supplies drawings, sketches, bid packages, specifications, procedure, etc. that will aid the Maintenance Supervisor for all planned jobs.
*Maintains the records essential to the effective operation of the planning and scheduling areas of responsibility.
*Coordinates the scheduling of the planned project with Maintenance supervision, Operations, Safety and the Purchasing Department to achieve maximum efficiency and cost management in a proactive manner.
*Accumulates costs for reporting purposes on specific jobs.
*Assists in monitoring the productivity of contractors performing work in the refinery.
*Proficient and available to cover for Maintenance Supervisors when needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
*Active listening skills and excellent writing skills.
*Working knowledge of the use of process flow sheets and P&IDs.
*Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities in a maintenance department environment.
*Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
*Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
*Skilled in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.
*Communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
*Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
*Ability to cross-train in other department duties to ensure efficient coverage department responsibilities.
*Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments and multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
*Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel).
 
Education and Experience (required):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of planning experience in Refinery Maintenance required.
- Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required.
- Experience reading engineering drawings, such as plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&IDs required.
