- The T&D Superintendent oversees field operations to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project completion. This role plans, organizes, and supervises specific construction areas, coordinating subcontractor schedules to maintain job continuity and efficiency.
- Key responsibilities include managing high-voltage transmission lines, structures, grounding, substation equipment, controls, and environmental compliance. The Superintendent supervises safety, productivity, materials, scheduling, and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with project specs and contracts.
-They interface with clients, A/E teams, and other contractors, supporting project procedures and documentation. Duties include authorizing requisitions, reviewing safety reports (PTAs, TSOs), documenting progress, and managing look-ahead schedules.
- They develop as-built drawings, answer RFIs, track subcontractor performance, verify material specs and storage, confirm welder qualifications, and witness equipment installation. Responsibilities also include hydro testing walkthroughs, punch lists, drawing control, change management, craft supervision, and site material/tool oversight.
- Must interpret isometric, structural, and P&ID drawings, ensure field execution aligns with scope and changes, and comply with company policies and standards. Performs additional duties as needed.
