Training Coordinator

Client: Plant
Work Location: Geismar, LA
Duration: 1-2 years and could go longer

Position Summary
The plant is currently in the execution phase of the  Expansion and Improvement Project.  The current Geismar staff, facilities, and work processes are designed and established for running and maintaining the current Geismar production facilities.   This Team was established to ensure the site is Ready for Operation at final handover from project management to manufacturing site management for all Expansion and Improvement assets.  

The Training Coordinator will be a key member of the Team.  The purpose of Training Coordinator is to ensure that the Geismar team is trained and prepared to support construction, commission, startup, run and maintain the Expansion and Improvement assets after handover.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for creating the overall training plan.
Training Requirements
Personnel Training Matrix
Training schedule
Resource requirements
Selection and use of training platform
Required Training Materials
Works closely with Core team members in creating and executing the development of the Individual Team training plans.
Operations
Maintenance
Lab
Coordinates with 3rd Party Training Providers and Resources to interface with team.
Ensure Development & implementation of all Classroom Training material
Ensure competency validation records are current and process is in place for ongoing operation all training plans.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
Seven (7) or more years of petrochemical and/or refinery experience is required with at least Three (3) years of prior training and qualification experience.  Must have in-depth knowledge of OSHA PSM as it relates to operator training and qualification.   A background in program development is a plus.
Previous work experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Facilitator, Trainer or a similar role in a manufacturing environment is essential.
