We're looking for a Transmission Line Engineer who can assist in the design of multiple overhead and underground T-Line projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take the lead on all things overhead transmission line design—from PLS-CADD modeling and line routing to structure analysis, sag-tension calculations, and clearance reports.
  • Handle design details like wire blowout, swing angles, damper recommendations, structure spotting, and wire selection.
  • Put together construction specs for materials, hardware, and high-voltage overhead transmission line (HV OH T-Line) structures.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and cost estimates.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members as they grow in their roles.
  • Over time, step into leadership opportunities—leading project teams and serving as a primary client contact.
  • Review technical work and provide quality oversight to keep projects on track.
  • Pitch in on other duties as needed—because no two days are the same.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required). EIT or PE license? Big plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in routing and designing high-voltage overhead transmission line facilities (a master's degree in a related field can count as one year).
  • Experience with 69kV to 500kV line design preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools like PLS, PLS-CADD, and PLS-POLE is a bonus.
  • Strong communicator—both written and verbal—and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • A sharp eye for detail and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, collaborative, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and similar software.
