Turnaround Cost Controller
Role Description:
Position performs tasks associated with reviewing and analyzing business finances from overall budgets, turnarounds, projects, or maintenance according to project schedules and plans.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
Work on and coordinate a cost system for a refinery turnaround
Facilitate the cost system's alignment with the established Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements
Assist with verifying the cost system can be broken down into the various plant units
Verify the cost system tracks all associated costs (i.e. labor, materials, equipment, subs, and other)
Establish a budget and provide forecast at completion costs
Coordinate a small cost team in order to accomplish required tasks
Invoice processing activities, monthly/daily cost reporting, trending analysis, cost variance analysis, accruals, and cash flow activities
Develop zero based cost projections and budgets
Cost track labor, materials, purchases, and contracts
Track headcount
Prepare and issue routine reports
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Control Coordinator in a petrochemical complex (preferred)
Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices associated with estimating, cost controls, budgeting, and financial projections
Advanced level experience in SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Access
