Turnaround Cost Engineer
Role Description:
Position performs tasks associated with managing cost engineering activities including the development and implementation of cost control systems, invoice processing activities, monthly cost reporting, trending, FAC [Forecast at Completion] Analysis, cost variance analysis, funding budgets, accruals, cash flows, contingency drawdown, productivity analysis, and value engineering analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
Will become familiar with and comply with Client's cost control procedures and practices
Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
Track headcount
Prepare and issue routine reports
Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
Identify performance improvement opportunities
Track and maintain cost estimates, man-hour estimates, equipment and material estimates
Verify the project has a work breakdown structure [WBS] which aligns with the estimate and reporting such findings to management
Develop the methodology necessary for effective cost control for projects
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with business cost data (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline from an accredited institution (preferred)
Understand and utilize standard auditing requirements
