Job Title: Lead Welder

Our client is an industrial heavy equipment manufacturing company based out of Santa Clarita, CA! Job Summary:

The Lead Welder oversees the cutting, threading, fitting, and assembling of pipes and tubing, ensuring project schedules are maintained and high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cut, thread, and fit pipes and tubing.

- Assemble and secure pipes using welding, brazing, and threading.

- Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines.

- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.

- Design pipelines based on P&ID drawings.

- Determine materials needed and fabricate tubing lines.

- Install instruments like gauges and transmitters.

- Lead and guide team members.

Requirements:

- High School diploma or GED.

- Trade School Certificate.

- 5+ years of pipe fitting experience in manufacturing.

- 5 years of supervisory experience.

- Proficient in reading P&ID drawings.

- Basic welding and mechanical plumbing knowledge.

- Certified ASME Welder (a plus).

- Experience in refinery and high-pressure piping (a plus).

- Strong leadership skills.

- Compliance with safety regulations.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands regularly.

- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

- Vision abilities include close and distance vision.

- Exposure to office and manufacturing shop conditions with various elements and hazards.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate of $35/hr-$42/hr (Based off Experience)
