Cost Controller- LONG-TERM CONTRACT
Meraux, LA
- Start: ASAP, will allow for a 2 weeks notice
- Schedule: 5/8s

- Experience: 5+ years experience in capital project cost control
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze cost information to assist with accurately forecasting final cost for each project on a weekly basis and a total duration basis
- Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities
- Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
- Become familiar with and comply with Client's cost control procedures and practices
- Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
- Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
- Track headcount
- Prepare and issue routine reports
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Demonstrate the belief that accidents are preventable by including safety in assigned work activities
- Create and share personal safety plan with the site
- Participate in safety meetings
- Understand and comply with IMTT's Drug and Alcohol Policy
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with business cost data
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related discipline from an accredited institution preferred
- Understand and utilize standard auditing requirements
- Proficient in SAP and MS Excel
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
