Job Description
The Engineering Document Control Manager (DCM) position provides document control and SharePoint Data management support for the Automation Modernization Program (AMP). This position reports directly to the AMP Program Director but will work closely with numerous project team members. The (DCM) will be responsible for leading and assisting with day-to-day administrative, functional, and document control activities to support the AMP program of projects across various refineries

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings and support planning of activities and procedures.
  • Manage the receipt and transmittal of project documentation from Engineering Contractors, Vendors and Refineries
  • Support Document Handover efforts for all Sites by auditing files, and implementing any new updates that streamline the process
  • Support SharePoint setup, file structures, archives for all projects and administer access to all users
  • Maintain an active log of documentation provided from each Site to active EPs
  • Help provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for documents received and issued by AMP
  • Help maintain the AMP SharePoint document library
  • Work with the AMP SharePoint owners to improve the user experience
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
  • Attend weekly Program Staff Meetings
  • Manage workload and supervise a small group (1-2) of document control specialists providing document control support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates in related technical fields
  • Document and SharePoint database experience in a lead role in engineering applications
  • 10+ years experience in project engineering services applications
  • Familiar with engineering deliverable review, development, quality assurance and document control
  • Experience with Collaborative Document Platforms such as Blue Beam
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to interface with refinery, vendors and engineering contractors
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to clearly communicate, and prepare minutes based on meetings and conferences.
  • Technical report writing skills and ability to generate charts, slides and presentations. Ability to proofread technical and decision support package reports submitted for approval
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by clients health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related technical field
  • Certifications in database management or project management
  • Industrial Automation experience on engineering projects
