Project Planner
Client: Refinery

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Additional role to support increased workload. They have have several projects slated after the TAR this year and would expect the position to be long term with much opportunity for overtime.
- Experience in new construction preferred.
- This role will need to have SAP experience, experience in Micro soft projects, excel, and word.
- This role will be involved in planning and execution.
- Most of the project work we have is civil, mechanical, and piping.
* Plan for turnaround & project work including cost estimating, duration, resources and manpower.
* Provide the overall integrated, resource loaded work steps to the project scheduler.
* Work closely with the Scheduler to integrate project work scope into detailed, resource loaded schedules.
* Participate in developing Work Breakdown Structure.
* Coordinate schedule input from multiple contractors.
* Monitor and forecast progress of activities in schedules by assessing or measuring physical progress in engineering and field construction - highlight problem areas and recommend remedial actions.
* Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.
* Act as a liaison with all team leaders to communicate required completion dates and interface between responsible parties.
* Apply refining experience that includes maintenance associated with all pipe fitting, boilermaker, welding, scaffolding, insulation, and laborer crafts for day to day run and maintain activities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ years of planning experience in a lead / senior role, in addition to 10 plus years of planning and/or field coordination experience in piping and mechanical crafts.
* SAP and Microsoft Projects experience is a plus.
