Project Manager -  Leads constructability assessments and plans construction work packaging and execution during pre-construction phase. Manages the construction implementation during the detailed design and construction phases. Provides supervision for Project/Field Engineers assigned to the project, subcontractors, QA/QC, document control and planning/scheduling in the field. Provides supervision for the commissioning, start-up and testing team once engaged at site. Under direction of the EPC Director, this position will coordinate closely with DB/EPC Department Managers to coordinate support resources as required for execution of the work according to Company policies and in alignment with the schedules and budgets established by the PMCM team.

Duties:
  1. Understand, communicate, and enforce Company Safety and Performance Program (PASS).
  2. Work with engineering and procurement/contracts to develop construction work package (CWP) strategies for the projects assigned. Work with planning and scheduling to develop a resource loaded CPM schedule as the road map for project delivery.
  3. Provide guidance and oversight to the CM staff including Project Engineers, QAQC leads, safety representatives, subcontractors, document control and suppliers in the field.
  4. Lead the construction readiness reviews and manage action items for assigned projects.
  5. Develop site set-up and general conditions plans and estimates for assigned projects.
  6. Provide input on bid reviews and contractor selection.
  7. Maintain site safety and security during mobilization, construction, start-up and through turnover to the owner.
  8. Develop and lead the lean initiatives during construction for Total-Western projects
  9. Participate in team coordination meetings and safety meetings
  10. Represent the PMCM team in attending construction industry seminars, conferences and training events to support the growth of the Design Build/EPC division.
  11. Travel as necessary or relocate if appropriate to support projects throughout the western United State


Required Skills & Knowledge:              
  1. Ability to meet deadlines with conflicting priorities and limited resources.
  2. Engage in professional collaboration with contractors, suppliers and clients and support healthy relationships with all participants in project delivery.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable office software. 
  4. Knowledge of and experience using project management software preferred.
  5. Strong project management capabilities; including ability to control project budget and schedule, identify problems, and implement corrective actions. 
  6. Strong to excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills. 
  7. Good negotiating, leadership, and management skills. 
  8. Good to strong presentation skills. 
  9. Ability to work independently to resolve cost, scheduling and resource allocation issues Prior experience in industrial maintenance in similar industry
 
Environmental Conditions:     
  1. Work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
  2. Works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.
  3. May work in areas with hazardous chemicals.
  4. May work outdoors and on uneven surfaces.
  5. May be required to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for long periods of time
 
Education and Experience: 
  1. 4 year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  2. Minimum10 years experience in construction (5 years for assistant manager) in industrial or commercial manufacturing construction
