Project Manager/Engineer (Landfill Gas)

Our client is an environmental consulting and construction firm that designs and implements sustainable environmental solutions, including solid and hazardous waste management, landfill gas, site remediation, renewable energy, and regulatory compliance. They have an immediate hybrid opportunity for a Project Manager/Engineer (Landfill Gas) within their Los Angeles, CA location.

 

This person will also be responsible for:

  • Business development including: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
  • Ensuring that all projects are designed and delivered with the purpose of meeting our client's goals.
  • Performing field work
  • Driving in high-elevated varied terrain and weather
  • Completing surveys/data gathering, landfill liner installations, inspections, etc.
  • CAD drafting
  • Creating site plans
  • Facility diagrams
  • Mathematical calculations
  • Permit applications
  • Report writing 
  • Applying vast knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices in solid waste assignment areas and related fields.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Overseeing and developing other staff members to advance their knowledge and boost their career path.
  • Creating and maintaining very detailed project documentation and developing a thorough project plan to track progress.
  • Managing any and all changes within project scopes, schedules, and costs.
  • Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
  • Making decisions independently on engineering or any scientific problems and methods, plans and coordinating work, and being a company representative at meetings and conferences.
  • Receiving technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in one of following: 
    • Civil Engineering
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Geotechnical Engineering 
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience such as landfill design and permitting, solid waste, management within landfill gas, and air compliance.
  • The ability to obtain a California P.E. in civil registration or current in possession of one.
  • A valid driver's license 
  • A good standing driving record
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation:

$70,000 - $165,000 (Depending On Experience)
