Our Client is an EPC contractor specializing in the installation of utility substations, power generation, industrial process facilities, and renewable fuel projects. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Document Control Specialist based at their offices in Paramus, NJ.


PRIMARY FUNCTION


· Responsible for the management of the document control functions within the company. This includes being the primary point of Contact for document control support, maintenance of the appropriate project documents, enforcement of standards and best practices, preparation of training materials and training for both internal and external project personnel, and coordination with counterparts for both owner and subcontractors.


TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Creating and maintaining projects in ProCore and on internal servers


2. Define and enforce standards for document control within company and for project specific needs


3. Prepare training materials and provide training to all users, as needed


4. Define processes for managing, approving, and auditing access to project documents


5. Support bid efforts utilizing ProCore or by other means


6. Act as primary point of contact for document control needs and work with administrative support resources, as necessary


7. Attend meetings with customers, vendors, contractors, etc. to discuss document control requirements, updates, issues and concerns, etc...


8. Coordinate with team members to ensure their needs are met within the defined standards


9. Act as the functional document control lead where necessary due to resource constraints


Position Reports to: Manager of Project Services

Work Location: Paramus, NJ (office based) - hybrid work model

Travel Requirements: Travel is generally not expected


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


Educational and experience requirements include:

Must possess a four-year engineering or business degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control and 3 years of experience in using ProCore.

Must have experience in executing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contracts.
