Job Title: Senior Site Quality Specialist
Location: Boardman, OR
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Quality Specialist to join our project team in Boardman, OR. In this role, you will lead the implementation of the project's quality program, ensuring all work is fabricated, installed, examined, tested, and documented in full compliance with specifications, governing codes, and contract requirements. You will serve as a key technical resource, providing oversight, guidance, and mentorship to quality personnel while driving continuous improvement across all quality management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the project Construction Quality Plan.
Review specifications and communicate requirements to project and subcontractor teams.
Lead quality-focused preparatory and coordination meetings.
Conduct inspections of fabricated/installed work, documenting results and maintaining accurate records.
Evaluate quality verification documents for compliance with specifications and drawings.
Manage inspection databases, daily reporting, and quality metrics.
Lead project quality meetings with clients and subcontractors as required.
Identify, document, and track nonconformances through closure.
Develop and oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Review and approve subcontractor quality submittals and welding programs.
Test and qualify welders; monitor welding program implementation and traceability.
Support walk-downs, turnovers, and acceptance inspections.
Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to field quality personnel.
Ensure compliance with all Safety & Health requirements and participate in safety observation programs.
Recommend improvements to the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years relevant quality management experience, OR
Associate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination, or related field with 9+ years relevant experience, OR
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination, or related field with 7+ years relevant experience.
Certified Welding Inspector (AWS) – Required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Proficient in computer applications and reporting systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with proven leadership ability.
