Location

To be determined.  May include being assigned to one of our client's 10 manufacturing facilities and working a hybrid home/office schedule 50% of the time.  Travel up to 30% may be required depending on projects assigned.

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute assigned engineering projects
  • Provide appropriate project justification and cost-benefit analysis when appropriate for project proposals
  • Develop project scopes, solicit bids from vendors, manage installation of capital improvement projects
  • Develop robust support documentation for projects.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable engineering standards, best practices, building codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact with clients to develop and interpret the project needs and requirements
  • Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly on status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members as required
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other key project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions


Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field from an accredited university (Electrical Engineering Preferred).
  • Expert user of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate work to plant management, peers and maintenance/operations personnel.
  • Apply principles of mathematics, statistics and engineering to resolve problems.
  • Empowered, self-directed individual who is capable of prioritizing work load and resources to provide the most benefit to the production process.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The job is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical systems and around/near energized electrical systems while following necessary safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Employees may be exposed to fumes, odors, and airborne particles.  PPE will be required as necessary.  The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat, vibration, and confined spaces.  A respirator may be required at times.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, and hearing protection is provided.
